The Saluda River is one of the main tributaries of the Congaree River. This section of the river runs through some suburband parts of the town of Pelzer, and features some good scenery and a variety of flora. Trees that you will see include cypress, a variety of oak species, river-birch and more. Wildlife you may see include a variety of different bird species. Be apprised that near the end of the paddle you will need to give yourself ample room to get out of the river before the dam.
